Issue/Introduction

Question:

What is the meaning of message OPS0303S CAIENF MESSAGES EXCEEDED THE MAXIMUM CAIENF RATE?

Answer:

This error message means that you received an overflow of internal queue messages for ENF traffic. The ENF traffic that you are receiving comes from having the parameters INITCA7 or INITCPM turned on, which also include CA-7 Browse Log Messages. You can control this by either increasing or decreasing the following parameters:

- CAIENFMAX
- CAIENFRATE

If you receive too many of these error messages, it can cause the CAIENF Subtask to shutdown and possibly abend.
