Aria Operation deployment fails using Aria Lifeycle

Issue/Introduction

1. Deploying Aria Operations fails on stage 7. The UI in Aria Lifecycle Ui displays the following exception: com.vmware.vrealize.lcm.plugin.vcf.common.exception.PollLbCreationException: LB creation has failed at step: Configure NSX Virtual Servers
2. Deployment check for Aria Operations in the Aria lifecycle shows successful.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Aria lifecycle 8.18.x

Cause

This issue occurs when the same Load balancer from another Aria product is used during the Aria Operations deployment.

Resolution

• Delete the existing Aria environment from Aria Lifecycle
• Delete the existing Aria Operation-related Server pools from NSX
• Create a dedicated load balancer for Aria Operations
• Pre-Requisites:

A NSX Advanced Load Balancer is mandatory.
NSX-T Cloud account must be available and configured on the NSX ALB Controller 

Procedure:

-Log in to Aria Lifecycle

-Click on Aria Lifecycle Operations and browse to Settings

-Click on the Load Balancer. In a greenfield scenario, it won't show any load balancers available there

-Click on Add Load Balancer

-In the drop-down, it will display  3 options to select 

-VMware Cloud Foundation managed NSX-T
-NSX Advanced Load Balancer
-Others

Note: NSX-T or NSX Advanced Load Balancers are selected, the load balancers are consumed during deployment of the product, then the whole configuration of Virtual Servers, Pools,  and Monitors is created by Aria Lifecycle.

-Select NSX Advanced Load Balancer options  and fill in the required fields.      

• Go back to  Aria Lifecycle Operations → Create an Environment and start deploying the product.

Required Fields	Description
Controller type	NSX Advanced Load Balancer
Controller FQDN	FQDN of NSX Advanced Load Balancer Controller or AVI Controller
Controller IP	IP Address of the NSX Advanced Load Balancer Controller or AVI Controller
Username	Username for NSX Advanced Load Balancer Controller or AVI Controller
Password	Password for NSX Advanced Load Balancer Controller or AVI Controller Remember that the controller password will be picked up from the locker. If it is not present, then create the password object in the locker, and then make the selection
NSX Cloud Account	NSX-T Cloud
Load Balancer IP	This IP Address will be used to create a Virtual Service on the NSX ALB Controller
Load Balancer FQDN	This Load Balancer FQDN will be used while deploying the product.
