VMware vSphere ESXi

Issue/Introduction

ESXi hosts rely on NTP for logging and accurate management by vCenter Server. If NTP settings are not on an ESXi host, it can lead to disconnect messaging on the vCenter Server that manages the host.

Environment

vCenter Server 7.x

ESXi 7.x

Resolution

To clear "host disconnect" warnings in vCenter, check the NTP settings on a host. If they are not valid, edit them to valid settings.

See "Configure Network Time Protocol (NTP) on the ESXi".
