Issue/Introduction

 

Symptoms: 

GIM58903W    SMP/E COULD NOT PROCESS A ++HOLD FIXCAT MCS BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE MADE A CHANGE TO THE GLOBAL ZONE THAT CANNOT BE PROCESSED COMPLETELY BY PRIOR LEVELS OF SMP/E when receiving maintenance for CA Roscoe.

 

Resolution:

You must migrate to SMP/E 3.5 (and use the UPGRADE command to enable FIXCAT processing) in order to actually store any of the new FIXCAT data into your Global zones.

 

Workaround:

Earlier than that IBM has some toleration fixes, but they do not really do anything.
