Error: "I/O error on POST request for "https://###########/login": No route to host (Host unreachable);" when trying to delete Virtual Service in VCD

Issue/Introduction

• Cannot delete Virtual Services or anything related to ALB in Cloud Director
• NSX ALB is broken and needs to be decommissioned, but cannot delete associated Virtual Services or Service Engine Groups
• Get the following error when deleting a Virtual Service:
  • I/O error on POST request for "https://##########/login": No route to host (Host unreachable); nested exception is java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host (Host unreachable)
• Get the following error when deleting a Service Engine Group:
  • Cannot delete assignment of Service Engine Group ####### for Edge Gateway ####### since there are Virtual Services.

• Error when disabling the LB on the Edge:
  • Cannot disable load balancer for Edge Gateway ####### since there are Virtual Services.
• Unable to remove NSX ALB instance from VCD

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Cause

This issue occurs when NSX ALB is broken and no longer running correctly

Resolution

If NSX ALB is broken and needs to be removed from VCD alongside any associated object of NSX ALB from VCD, database modification is needed to resolve this issue.
