'Summary|configuration|Product Name' property is not present for a vCenter VM in Aria Operations.

Issue/Introduction

• Product Name for a vCenter VM is missing in Aria Operations.
  • In the below screenshot, 'Product Name' is missing under 'Configuration' 
  • Working instance where 'Product Name' property is present under 'Configuration' details:

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

This issue occurs if the VM property details are not present in vCenter MOB page for the vCenter VMs when we try to access summary.config.product page.

Expected:

If the issue exists, the vCenter MOB page will not have any VM property details in it.

Resolution

'Summary|configuration|Product Name' property details for a VM in Aria Operations are fetched from the vCenter MOB page: https://vCenterFQDN/mob/?moid=vm-##&doPath=summary.config.product

If the Product Name property details for a vCenter VM are missing in Aria Operations and not visible on the vCenter MOB page, raise a ticket with the vCenter team from Broadcom Support to investigate the missing VM property details in the MOB page.
