Unable to configure HCX adapter in Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

When you try to configure HCX adapter with Aria Operations, while validating the connection, it presents you the following error message:

 

 

log/adapters/HCXAdapter/HCXAdapter_xxxxx.log:

ERROR [Collector worker thread xx] (xxxxx) com.vmware.vcops.adapter3.hcm.client.HCXClient.login - HTTPS POST request failure https://<Hostname_FQDN>/hybridity/api/sessions. Failed with response code 401 with message

ERROR [Collector worker thread xx] (xxxxx) com.vmware.vcops.adapter3.hcm.HCXAdapter.onCollect - Exception occured in collecting HCX data: Unable to login to HCM server or no configuration found
java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to login to HCM server or no configuration found

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure that username contains domain name as suffix. For example: [email protected]
