Issue/Introduction

When deploying a new Aria Operations for Networks instance through LCM, you see the error message:

"Failed to validate license. Provided license key is not valid."

The license key may have been copied directly from the support portal.

Environment

VMware Aria Operations for Networks 6.12
VMware Aria Operations for Networks 6.12.1
VMware Aria Operations for Networks 6.13
VMware Aria Operations for Networks 6.14

Cause

The license key was entered into LCM incorrectly.

The portal displays the license key with 5 groupings of letters and numbers separated by a dash. In some cases, additional characters, like the core count, may accidentally be copied when using the copy/paste method.

Resolution

Confirm that the license key entered into LCM matches the license key in the support portal exactly.

The license keys for Aria Operations for Networks consist of 5 groups of 4 characters (letters and numbers) combined separated by a dash. There should be no spaces in the license key.
