TDM 4.11 Upgrade caused schema migration failure with ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object

Issue/Introduction

Installed TDM portal, successfully installed. upon launching the portal, TDM web service did not start. Earlier portal version was 4.11.159, dropped all the tables in the <GTREP> schema and un-installed the TDM portal 4.11.159 and installed version 4.11.1007. 

In the TDMSchemaManagementStartup.log we noticed:

Environment

TDM 4.11.1007. 

Cause

When previous version of GTREP tables was dropped, some of the SEQUENCES  still remained

Resolution

When you DROP the entire GTREP schema,  make sure that it DROPS  the SEQUENCES,  TRIGGERS, VIEWS , INDEXES etc .. with it.

 

Note** :  Work with your DBA when DROPPING GTREP schema.
