Issue/Introduction

The GCP Cost Non-Project Cost Reallocation feature is enabled by default and reallocates charges to all projects in the event there is a project CloudHealth is unable to identify (it's derived by the platform).  This can lead to situations where some project costs may appear inflated as they include some of the costs of the derived project.  Disabling the cost reallocation feature only applies to the current month forward and will not be applied to historical data.  If you would like to adjust historical months, there is a workaround that can be utilized with the Custom Line Item feature

Resolution

The recommended workaround is to create a Custom Line Item (CLI) Rule credit that will get distributed across all selected projects based on the total spend of each project as shown below: https://apps.cloudhealthtech.com/ui/chargeback-rules/add
