Multiple Entries for patch history in Aria Lifecycle Manager

Issue/Introduction

When using Aria Lifecycle Manager to apply patches to an appliance, there are multiple entries for the same patch applied to the same appliance. 

Environment

Aria Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

Patch attempts and re-attempts are recorded in the Aria Lifecycle Manager patch history. 

Resolution

This is Expected behavior. The Aria Lifecycle Manager patch history has the following behavior: 

1. Any attempts and re-attempts to patch an environment. Multiple attempts through LCM are recorded. 
2. Only attempts made before you deleted an environment will be erased from the patch history. 
3. Importing an appliance into LCM may not import the patch history for that environment. History begins only after it is in LCM and registered.
