Issue/Introduction

  • While adding a new NAT rule, all IP Spaces are grayed out, as in the following example, so an IP address cannot be allocated:



  • The issue does not occur when using a system administrator account.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.x

Cause

In order to allocate an IP address while adding a new NAT rule, the account requires the following right and any implied rights:

IP Spaces: Allocate IP Spaces

Resolution

Add the IP Spaces: Allocate IP Spaces right to the role for the user. If the right is not visible, this may require modification of an existing rights bundle or the addition of a new rights that includes this right.
