Issue/Introduction

Are IDMS password encrypted when stored, displayed or transmitted?

Release: 19.0

Resolution

If signon is secured internally, IDMS encrypts the password with a one-way encryption algorithm before it is stored.
If using external security for signon, it is the external security package that encrypts the password.
