"initiate_stretch_cluster_vxrail_XX.py" is failing to get thumbprints

Issue/Introduction

When running the "initiate_stretch_cluster_vxrail_XX.py" script to stretch a VxRail cluster in SDDC Manager (see "Stretch a VxRail Cluster"), an error is thrown:

"Failed to get thumbprints"

Cause

This script has the SDDC Manager, management vCenter Server, and VxRail Manager all connect to ESXi hosts to make changes. If any of those components have invalid information they use to connect to the hosts, the error regarding thumbprints will be thrown.

Resolution

Validate the following are correct:

   - the svc account credentials in SDDC (check with lookup_passwords)

   - the ESXi host certificates are valid

   - the management vCenter Server certificate is valid

   - the credentials entered when running the initiate_stretch_cluster_vxrail_XX.py are correct

**NOTE: if all of the above are validated, contact Dell Support to verify the host information used by VxRail Manager
