Issue/Introduction

When viewing the Plan patching page to patch an ESXi host to 8.0U3d the applicable bundle doesn't appear.

Also, in the lcm-debug.logs we see the following messages.

YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS DEBUG [vcf_lcm,48bd8618e31c40f1,bd08] [c.v.e.s.l.c.v.vsphere.VsphereUtils,http-nio-127.0.0.1-7400-exec-1] for vm search, searching for host: <vCenterFQDN>

Environment

SDDC Manager 5.2.1

Cause

The inability to apply patches appears related to connectivity issues between SDDC Manager and vCenter.

This can be caused because the vCenter FQDN was changed outside of SDDC manager which is not supported.

Resolution

Revert the vCenter FQDN to what SDDC manager thinks it is.

Restart the SDDC manager appliance

Retry the plan patching.
