"Failover Recovery Plan" stuck in the vCenter Recent Task list.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The "Failover Recovery Plan" task remains stuck in the Recent Task pane without progressing or completing in vCenter UI.

• In Site Recovery UI > Recovery Plan > Failover Recovery Plan completed successfully.

 

Environment

VMware vCenter 7.x
VMware vCenter 8.x
VMware Live Recovery 9.x

Cause

The issue is caused by a stale task entry in the vCenter UI.

Resolution

Follow the steps in the KB article to remove stale tasks from the vCenter UI - Clear stale tasks from the vCenter "Recent Tasks" panel
