In cloud environments where multiple domains are used across different regions, administrators may encounter an issue when attempting to delete a domain in a region where it is the only domain. Specifically, users may find that they cannot delete the only domain in the EU when all other domains are in the US tenant. This limitation is currently a known product constraint, but there is a workaround available for administrators to resolve the issue.

The inability to delete the only domain in a particular region (e.g., EU) stems from a product limitation that prevents the deletion of the last remaining domain in that region. For instance, if a domain in the EU is the only one in that region while other domains are in the US, the system will not allow deletion of the EU domain.
This limitation is expected to be addressed by Q4 2025, but until then, administrators must work around this restriction to manage their domain setup.
While the product limitation remains in place, there is an effective workaround for deleting the only domain in a region like the EU. Administrators can resolve this by creating a new domain in the same region (EU, in this case). Once the new domain is created, administrators can log in to this new domain and delete the original EU domain.
To delete a domain, ensure your role includes the necessary domain management privileges for the domain in question. If you're unsure about your role's permissions, refer to the section on Default Administrator Roles in the cloud console for guidance.
Steps for the Workaround:
Create a new domain in the same region (EU).
During the domain creation, select the hosting location (EU, US or India).
Log in to the new domain you just created.
Navigate to the domain management section.
Proceed to delete the original EU domain.
