Issue/Introduction

There is invalid data in the Upgrade window following the upgrade from vcenter 7 to 8: "An error occurred while mounting the ISO.  Verify if the device attached to the CDROM is a vCenter Server ISO file."

Cause

The cache of the vSphere Client in the web browser is no longer valid.

Resolution

Clear the web browser cache and restart the web browser
