Failing segment in NSX Manager with error can not modify IP/MAC pool id

Issue/Introduction

When looking at "Networking > Segments," there is a "Failed" status, and when clicking on "Failed," there is a similar message:

Realization Errors: LogicalSwitch LogicalSwitch/########-####-####-####-############ still have logical ports attached, can not modify IP/MAC pool id.

Cause

This is caused by a Logical Switch realization issue when the LS has an IP_pool_id set but the segment does not specify an IP pool.

Resolution

Under "NSX > Segments," click the ellipsis and select "Edit. " Then expand 'Additional Settings,' select the correct IP Address Pool, and select 'Close Editing."

Before making any changes, ensure you have a complete backup and collect a support bundle if a support request needs to be opened.
