Remove unwanted Domain Users from VMware Identity Manager

Environment

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.X

Cause

Resolution

Execute steps below to remove Domain Users from VMware Identity Manager:

1. Logon to VIDM Administrator Console. 
2. Navigate to Identity & Access Management tab>>Select the Directory from which you want to remove users. 
3. Click Sync Settings and select Users.
4. Click "Red X" for users which you want to remove.
5. Click Save.
6. Then Click Save and Sync.

7.Check the Box for "Ignore Safeguards".


8. Click "Sync Directory". 
9. Unwanted users are removed from VMware Identity Manager and not from "Active Directory".
