Symantec Management Agent is showing duplicates in the Personalization > Taskbar settings page

Issue/Introduction

When using the Windows personalization settings page for Taskbar Settings, there are many duplicates of the Symantec Management Agent 8.7.3. The system tray, however, does not show duplicates of the Symantec Management Agent (SMA) tray icon.

Cause

Environmental. In this case the customer did not share the details that would let us identify the cause.

Resolution

The customer in this case worked with researching similar issues with other applications, and possibly with Microsoft, to identify a resolution. There were no resolution steps that involved the Symantec Management Agent or the Symantec Management Platform console.
