Issue/Introduction

SRM fails to pair when "New Site Pair" or "Reconnect" is selected.

Error message indicates or contains entries like "cannot authenticate to SRM Server"

You see entries like the following in the vmware-dr.log in the SRM appliance:

Cause

Issue is caused by time drift between sites.

Resolution

Check NTP and time on all entities involved (SRM appliances, Replication Appliances, vCenter Appliances) and correct where needed.
