Alerts are not displayed in ""VMware Infra Management Health Overview" Dashboard

Issue/Introduction

In "VMware Infra Management Health Overview," the Dashboard has "Health Alerts (Performance, Capacity, and Availability)" and "Health Alerts (Config and Compliance)" widgets that will not display the triggered alerts for the monitored objects. 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Aria Operations 8.16.x

Cause

The alert widget is configured with Child objects instead of  “Descendant of”. This configuration causes a visibility issue where health-related alerts tied to Descendant objects do not appear in the widget. 

Resolution

This issue will be fixed in the upcoming release of Aria Operation.

Please follow the workaround below to fix this issue

1. Edit the "Health Alerts (Performance, Capacity, and Availability)" and "Health Alerts (Config and Compliance)" widgets in the dashboard.

2. Navigate to the Output Filters section and expand the Advanced options.

3. Update the filter condition from "Child of" to "Descendants of".

4. Save the configuration to apply the changes.
