SDDC Health Monitoring Management Pack 8.12

Cause

This is a known issue with SDDC Health Monitoring Management Pack 8.12.

Resolution

You can use the VMware Infrastructure Health to monitor the VMware Cloud Management Plane. This adapter is available in the repository and is built into Aria Operations.

To resolve this issue, you can follow either of the two options:

  1. Remove the alert from the active policy.
    • Navigate to the 'Configure -> 'Policies' menu -> 'Policy Definition'
    • Click the active policy you wish to remove the alert from.
    • Click 'EDIT POLICY'.
    • Select 'Alerts and Symptoms' from the menu.
    • Find 'Current Sizing of the Operations Nodes are not sufficient for given Load' alert using the search bar and select it.
    • Change the state to 'Deactivated'
    • Select the 'SAVE' button.

  2. Delete the SDDC management pack from the Aria Operations cluster.
    • Navigate to the adapters page in the 'Data Sources' menu.
    • Find the SDDC health adapter. There may be more than one, depending on how many nodes there are in the cluster.
    • Remove all instances of the adapter.

NOTE: Go with Option 1 if you use the SDDC Health Management Pack to display Health Information on Aria Lifecycle Manager.

Additional Information

The SDDC Health adapter is replaced by the VMware Infrastructure Health adapter.
