Issue/Introduction

After upgrading the AdminUI and Policy Server to the version 12.8SP8CR01, when trying to update a User Directory service password in the AdminUI, the browser gets the error:

"Failed to execute ModifyUserDirectory Event. ERROR MESSAGE: SmApiWrappedException: Class CA.SM::UserDirectory attribute CA.SM::UserDirectory.PhoneNoAttribute"

Cause

The Policy Store Data Dictionary has not been upgraded to the version 12.8SP8CR01.

The 'PhoneNoAttribute' was introduced in 12.8SP8CR01 (1).

It does not exist in the 12.8SP8CR0 data dictionary.

If the 12.8SP08CR1 SmMaster.xdd has not been imported into the Policy Store, this error will occur.

Resolution

Update the Data Dictionary (2).

• Change directories to "<siteminder_home>/xps/dd/";
• Run "XPSDDInstall SmMaster.xdd"
  
  (NOTE: if XPSDDInstall is not found, ensure the path includes <siteminder_home>/bin and that the "ca_ps_env.sh" has been run)
  
  
• Restart the Policy Servers one at a time;
• Restart the AdminUI service.
