After upgrading to 12.8.08.01 you get error "Failed to execute ModifyUserDirectory Event. ... attribute CA.SM::UserDirectory.PhoneNoAttribute" when updating the user directory password

Issue/Introduction

After upgrade to 12.8.08.01, when trying to update the user directory password in the adminUI, you get the error:

"Failed to execute ModifyUserDirectory Event. ERROR MESSAGE: SmApiWrappedException: Class CA.SM::UserDirectory attribute CA.SM::UserDirectory.PhoneNoAttribute"

Cause

The Data Dictionary has not been updated to 12.8.08.01.

The 'PhoneNoAttribute' was introduced in 12.8.08.01. It does not exist in the 12.8.08 data dictionary.

If the 12.8.08.01 SmMaster.xdd is not imported into the policy store, this error will occur.

Resolution

Update the Data Dictionary

• Change directories to "<siteminder_home>/xps/dd/"
• Run "XPSDDInstall SmMaster.xdd"
  (NOTE: if XPSDDInstall is not found, ensure the path includes <siteminder_home>/bin and that the "ca_ps_env.sh" has been run)
• Restart the policy servers one at a time.
• Restart the adminUI service.
