• Error is presented when a third party solution attempts a backup operation leveraging snapshots
• Manual snapshots of the appliance work correctly when not selecting the Quiesce option

Cause

VMware Aria Automation formerly known as vRealize Orchestrator does not support taking snapshots of the appliance utilizing the "quiesce" or "snapshot memory" options

Resolution

The third party backup tool will need to be configured to comply with best practices by removing the "quiesce" or "snapshot memory" options
