Issue/Introduction

• The active "Virtual AHCI controller connected" symptom on the VM has triggered alert "Virtual Machine is violating CIS L1/L2 Profile (v8 and above)"
  • Configuration|Security|Virtual AHCI Controller Disconnected "false" = "false"
• The White Paper Virtual Machine Properties doesn't state why having a virtual ACHI controller connected is a security alert.
• You need suggestion as to why this is a valid alert.

Cause

The Virtual Machine has a virtual AHCI adapter connected to it.

Resolution

Aria Operations provides compliance scanning of the environment against Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmark recommendations, but Broadcom does not publish the benchmarks.
