External security access required to issue DEMAND/RUN commands

Issue/Introduction

 We are performing ongoing audits and want to determine which accesses are needed for external users to demand or run jobs via CA-7 online as well as PGM=SASSBSTR job.   Are there specific datasets, libraries, or files the users need to have access to as well?

Resolution

For online access, users will need  update access in the external security package for resource names  L2QPDMND and L2QPRUN  to allow them to issue  the RUN or DEMAND commands.   When invoking the SASSBSTR (BTI) to submit jobs into CA 7 using the RUN or DEMAND commands,  update access to the COMMDS dataset and BTI pool datasets  will be required.
