Spectrum Custom Device Certifications are overwritten after an upgrade

Issue/Introduction

We have several different custom device certifications in Spectrum that we use.  We have noticed that during an upgrade if Broadcom updates a device certification, then our custom device certification will be overwritten.

Spectrum : Any

Cause

Broadcom Device Certifications will always take preference over custom device certifications.

Resolution

As per Engineering this is FAD (Functioning as Designed) and we do not save custom device certifications if Broadcom updates the out of the box certifications.
