The notes are too long. Enter notes shorter than 2000 characters.

Environment

vCenter 8.x

Resolution

The character limit for the notes field should be less than 2000 characters.

vCenter support supports an 80 character limit for all its entities. When you create a new inventory object, if the name exceeds this limit, the task fails and a warning appears.
