MacOS Installs fail with: error (1) operation not permitted

Issue/Introduction

Having intermittent issues deploying software to MacOS systems.

The issue is that when sending an application quick delivery, it can be any type, a .dmg, or a .pkg the install will fail with an error (1) operation not permitted. Several things have been tried to make sure Altiris has all the rights it needs but can't figure it out.

Antivirus permissions and exclusions

Resolution

After uninstalling CyberArk quick deliveries were successful.  The Altiris Admin thought that they had properly configured CyberArk for software install permissions, but must have missed some.

CyberArk and other AV products should allow the rollout script to perform the following steps: extraction, creation of temporary directory and launching extracted installer.

Customer should set-up AV in a manner that it will allow, or rather exclude AV, from managing the directories which are used by agent or SWD delivery policies.
