Environment

VMware vSAN (All Versions)

Cause

After working on some SSO domain issues such as breaking apart two vCenters into separate SSO domains, the vCenter may need to reconnect to the ESXi hosts.

Similar symptoms can occur when there is a trust mismatch between the lookupservice and the vCenter Machine SSL certificate.

Resolution

Resolution:
Disconnect/Reconnect the ESXi hosts in the vSAN cluster. This will need to be done for all of the hosts with these symptoms.

1. Log into the vCenter UI
2. Right-click on the host(s) in question
3. Connection -> Disconnect

Once the task completes, reconnect the host using the same process. You should begin to see the host starting to sync again and stats populating.

If there are still issues, it is likely the vCenter's lookupservice has some mismatches. See vSAN modules fail to display any info
