Issue/Introduction

• The alert "One or more virtual machine guest file systems are running out of disk space" is received for the Aria Operations for Logs object in Aria Operations
• The "/storage/core" partition of the Aria Operations for logs appliance is at 97% utilisation.

Environment

Aria Operations for Logs 8.x

Cause

As the /storage/core partition utilises the majority of the available storage, when Aria Operations evaluates the object, it appears that it is approaching capacity.

The effect is more pronounced when larger disks are added to the Aria Operations for Logs appliance

Resolution

Aria Operations for Logs is designed to operate with the "/storage/core" partition at 97%, please see the KB below;

• /storage/core partition is at 97% utilisation.
