VMware disk space expansion is working as designed from the VMware side.
Example: Test-VM VM VMware.log :
In the below example, we can notice the Test-VM.vmdk disk space has increased from 600GB to 650 GB, and the same is observed for Test-VM_9.vmdk where the disk space has increased from 800 GB to 850 GB.
