Async patch tool fails to apply bundle-211282 for vCenter 7.0U3u; checksum does not match the manifest

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When attempting to enable the Async patch for vCenter 7.0 U3u, it fails with the error "bundle checksum does not match the manifest value"
• The following entries are observed in the asyncpatchtool.log file:

                      bundle checksum does NOT match the manifest value

                      Error while initiating required functionality: DOWNLOAD_BUNDLES

                      BUNDLE_CHECKSUM_MISMATCH
-- Error Message: Bundle bundle-211282 checksum does NOT match the manifest value.
-- Remedy: Please provide the correct bundle file and rerun the AP tool or redownload the bundle via AP tool. Make sure you are not using any third party download chunking or parallelization tools before running the download or upload operation.
-- Error Stacktrace:
com.vmware.evo.sddc.lcm.model.error.LcmException: Bundle bundle-211282 checksum does NOT match the manifest value.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.5.x

Resolution

The correct checksum has been published to address the issue.

 

If you are still running into the issue, the following steps need to be applied:

1. Delete the AP tool output directory: /nfs/vmware/vcf/nfs-mount/apToolBundles

2. Retry the Patch enablement operation using the APT.
