PDM/SEU support status for the next release 7.6.0 and subsequent releases of IBMi

Issue/Introduction

We are hearing that IBM may remove PDM/SEU from the next release of IBMi OS 7.6.0 and future releases...What effect will this have on our developers' ability to code User Programs inside of a CA 2E model? And maybe other CA 2E functionality will be affected too?

Environment

CA 2E version 8.7 and higher

Resolution

As of April 28, 2025, Broadcom received confirmation from IBM that PDM/SEU will NOT be removed from the next release 7.6.0 and subsequent releases of IBMi.
