Issue/Introduction

Upon edge activation on VCO you may see "Connectivity through the Edge Service Gateway is down."

Cause

This will happen if there is any NAT device or firewall in front of the edge and the VCMP packets the edge sends to create tunnels to the VCGs are dropped in transit and do not reach the VCG or vice versa.

Resolution

Make sure there is full connectivity to permit packets from edge to VCG and from VCG to edge on port 2426 UDP.
