"Error: The policy on the device did not match what Management Center last installed" for managed Cloud SWG device

Issue/Introduction

Install policy Job execution fails on the management center with an error "Error: The policy on the device did not match what Management Center last installed (This job is not configured to ignore warnings). "

The error message indicates that current policies has been modified since the last policy installation. 

 

 

Environment

Cloud SWG policies are managed by Management Center. 

Cause

The error message generated in the environments where more than one Management Centers are used to push policies to the same CSWG tenant. 

Resolution

To override the error, configure the job to "Force installation" as indicated in the screenshot below. 

NOTE: FORCING INSTALLATION WILL OVERRIDE POLICIES PUSHED FROM OTHER MC. POTENTIALLY, THIS CAN LEAD TO NEGATIVE IMPACT. BEFORE PUSH, VERIFY THAT POLICIES ARE ALIGNED WITH BUSINESS NEEDS.
