Management pack pure storage upgrade to 3.4 failed

Issue/Introduction

Pure storage provided new version of management pack (PureStorageManagementPack-v3.4.0),. When trying to upgrade from v3.3.0 on Aria Ops 8.18.3 you  got following message :

"Operation failed. If the error persists, contact VMware support." 

Environment

Aria Operations 

Cause

As 3rd party Management pack is unsigned ,  "Ignore pak file signature ..." should be checked or the installation will fail.

Resolution

Best Practice is to make sure you using both check boxes when upgrading third party management pack 

 

- Install the PAK file even if it is already installed 

- Ignore PAK file signature (does not apply to VMware Aria Operations PAK file)
