Issue/Introduction

When attaching a file (specifically a .pdf) to a campaign in the Governance application, the file appears available for reviewers in the Identity Portal. However, when a reviewer attempts to download the attachment from Identity Portal, it is saved as a .txt file rather than a .pdf. This causes issues when trying to view the file in its intended format.

CA Identity Suite Virtual Appliance 14.5 GA

Cause

This issue was specific to version 14.5 GA of Governance.

Resolution

Upgrade your Symantec Identity Governance / Symantec Identity Portal platform from 14.5 GA (General Availability) to 14.5.1 CHF01 (Cumulative Hotfix 01). This update addresses and resolves the file download issue, ensuring that attached PDF files are correctly downloaded and recognized with the .pdf extension.
