VMware Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations) 8.x

Issue/Introduction

  • vSAN Congestion metrics are not collected after update vCSA 7.x to 8.x. ESXi hosts are remain ESXi 7.x.
    Component Congestion, IOPS  Congestion, Log Congestion, Memory Congestion, Slab Congestion, SSD Congestion are not collected. 
  • In the analytics-########-####-####-####-############.log file, you see entries similar to:

    2025-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS,XXX WARN  [Collector worker thread 11]  com.vmware.vcops.vlsi.VsanVersion$VsanVersionParser$DefaultImpl.extractVsanVersionFromNode -
     Failed to get vSAN SDK version: "vSAN 7.0U1". For input string: "vSAN 7" Trying hardcoded versions.

Environment

Aria Operations

Cause

The vSAN  API calls invoked by Aria Operations differ between ESXi 7.x and 8.x.
Need to ESXi and vCSA are same major version.

Resolution

Upgrade ESXi host  from 7.x to 8.x
