Option 1:
- Open an SSH session to the vCenter Server.
- Restart the sps service by running the commands below:
service-control --stop vmware-sps
service-control --start vmware-sps
Note:
This service may take several minutes to be fully restarted and have changes reflected on VC UI. The recommendation is to wait up to 15 minutes to be sure the restart took any effect.
Option 2:
- If there is more than one vCenter instance in enhanced linked mode, please access the VC UI through the other vCenter URL and check if the information under "Storage providers" is populated.
- For example, if the user is logged in using to vCenter by accessing https://<VCSA:servernameAAA> and the problem is seen, use the second vCenter in the enhanced linked mode to log in, for example https://<VCSA:servernameBBB>, and "Storage providers" tab should be checked to see if it is populated.
