"Invalid serial number: no dormant license file corresponding to the serial number" error adding VMware Private AI Foundation license on Aria Lifecycle Manager

Issue/Introduction

• Adding the  "Product VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA, and SQL Support" license key in Aria Lifecycle Manager failing as given below:

•  "Error "The license key is not valid"
•  This article also helps in understanding the steps involved in enabling VMware Private AI Foundation in Aria Automation.

Environment

Aria Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

Adding "Product VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA, and SQL Support" license to Aria Lifecycle Manager is not supported.

Resolution

Follow the below outlined steps to enable VMware Private AI Foundation in Aria Automation.

1. Add the "Product VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA, and SQL Support" license key to vCenter.
2. From Aria Automation UI, run the Quick Start.
3. Start "Private AI Automation Services" .
