Modification of Transport Node Profile in NSX managed by SDDC Manager

Issue/Introduction

The Transport Node Profile is created by VCF on the NSX-T Manager during cluster creation and then detached once the cluster is created successfully.

During cluster expansion this same TNP is re-used. If it is renamed then the cluster expansion workflow will fail.

VCF expects the format to be <ClusterName>-<Random UUID> and the description to be vCenter FQDN.

Resolution

Renaming of the Transport Node Profile (TNP) created by SDDC manager is not supported.
