Issue/Introduction

  •  RecoverPoint Plugin Server is losing communication with the vCenter

  • vCenter vpxd logs are flooded with errors similar to the excerpt below:

    xxxx-xx-xxTxx:xx:xx.xxx+xx:xx warning vpxd[60588] [Originator@6876 sub=vmomi.soapStub[180] opID=TaskLoop-host-xxxx] SOAP request returned HTTP failure; <SSL(<io_obj p:0x00007f5fbc8df7b8, h:78, <TCP 'xx.xx.xx.xx : xxxxx'>, <TCP 'xx.xx.xx.xx : xxx'>>), /vpxa>, method: waitForUpdates; code: 500(Internal Server Error)

Environment

vCenter Server 7.x

Cause

Issue is caused by missing SSO Group Memberships for the vSphere Solution Users

Resolution

Issue is fixed in vCenter 7.0.3i and later.

 

Note: If you not able to upgrade the vCenter open a case with support to provide a workaround.
