Edge Deploy workflow is not listing Host Groups

Issue/Introduction

• You are deploying new NSX Edge node (VM).
• You are planning to bind the Edge VM to a specific VM Host Group configured in your vCenter.
  (ref. Create a VM-Host Group)
• In NSX UI in the configuration wizard, Host Groups are not displayed and can't be used:
  

Environment

VMware NSX 9.0

Resolution

This is a known issue impacting VMware NSX 9.0.

 

Workaround:

1. SSH to NSX Manager as admin.
2. Restart service cm-inventory:
   > restart service cm-inventory
3. Repeat the same steps on the remaining NSX Managers in the cluster to restart the service on all nodes.
