Removing Domain Task from VCF failing on subtask ''Delete SSO User'

Issue/Introduction

  • In the SDDC Manager UI the subtask Delete SSO User fails with the following message:  
    Description:  Delete SSO User
    Progress Messages: A problem has occurred on the server. Please retry or contact the service provider and provide the reference token.
    ERROR: Message: A problem has occurred on the server. Please retry or contact the service provider and provide the reference token.
        Remediation Message:
        Reference Token: #####
        Cause: The validated expression is false 
  • Below log entries are seen in /var/log/vmware/vcf/domainmanager/domainmanager.log

Environment

VCF 5.x

Cause

No Service Account was created for vCenter which is with the domain trying to delete, confirmed in SDDC in UI.

Also confirmed in MGMT vCenter's UI with Home >> Administration >> Single Sign On >> users and group.
