Unable to Delete Compute Profile in HCX UI

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to delete a Compute Profile from the HCX UI results in the following errors:

"Cannot delete compute profile <compute profile name> since another operation is already in progress."
Or
"Compute profile is used by Service Mesh(es): ["servicemesh-####-###-###-###]"

 

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

Possible cause of the above errors:

• A previous deletion attempt did not complete successfully within HCX.
• The Compute Profile is referenced in an existing Service Mesh.

Resolution

Reboot the HCX Manager to clear any pending operations.

If the Compute Profile is referenced by a Service Mesh, ensure that the Service Mesh is deleted or that the Compute Profile is no longer associated with it before attempting deletion.

Additional Information

To further investigate the root cause of the failure, please collect the HCX logs along with the database and raise a Support Request with Broadcom.
