Issue/Introduction

Linux servers with Control-M that generate child processes of ksh93 see high CPU usage for the Agent and ksh93 process.

Environment

  • Carbon Black Application Control Agent: All Supported Versions
  • RHEL 9

Cause

ksh93 is generating many short lived temporary files

Resolution

  1. Create a performance optimization rule
  2. For "Path or File" enter: 
    /shm/sf??.???
  3. For "Process" enter: 
    /usr/bin/ksh93
  4. Set the platform to Linux
